MAJ Lids for Kids Campaign

Hard-working members putting safety first! Every year, 300,000 children are injured or killed while engaging in activities where a safety helmet could have prevented tragedy. 

But there is a problem, not all children have access to safety helmets. In response, the proud members of MAJ have created the largest Helmet Safety Campaign in Michigan, named Lids for Kids. 

Throughout the years, MAJ members have fit over 25,000 young people with helmets. We will continue to sponsor events and hand-fit thousands of helmets all over the state. Our efforts have prevented many serious injuries and have saved numerous lives. This work has been honored by a former Governor, the 92nd and 93rd Legislatures, mayors of cities throughout the state, the former First Gentleman, and the Crime Prevention Association of Michigan.
